On the radio drama front, I thought it might be prudent to inform you of the awesome show we're putting up for Halloween right by Davis Square, right near my home, and right in the thick of it. If you like live radio drama performed by real live people and real live sound effects performed by real live sound effects artists using real live (er...) objects, then you are going to love the Post-Meridian Radio Players in

A Staged Radio Thrillogy

Monday, October 29, Tuesday, October 30
and Wednesday, October 31 at 7:30 pm
First Congregational Church of Somerville
89 College Avenue, Somerville, Massachusetts

We'll be performing adaptations of three radio programs:

• An episode of the classic radio situation comedy Our Miss Brooks entitled "Halloween Party"
  which is about man's inhumanity to man a Halloween party
• Carmilla, a Gothic tale of vampires and the people who love and hunt them,
  adapted from Sheridan LeFanu's novella and performed on the CBC radio series "Nightfall"
• William Hope Hodgson's maritime ghost story The Stone Ship, also performed on "Nightfall"

All three stories come with live sound effects
performed in front of your very eyes at no extra charge!

Tickets cost a mere $12.00 for adults and $10.00 for students and seniors
(that's $4.00 or $3.33 repeating per chilling tale!)

Nurses will not be stationed at the box office to tend to frightened patrons,
but candy and other refreshments will be available
to soothe the terrified back to coherency!

Come in costume and you may just win a special prize!
Or at least the admiration of your seatmates.
