First: Gmail appears to be using the slow tubes right now; I'm just now getting email I should have received three hours ago.

Second: You can put down the "SIGN MIKE LOWELL" signs now, Sox fans, cause they've gone and made an offer and he's agreed. "In principle", at least.

I know at least one person who'll be thrilled to the gills to hear this news.
