First: Gmail appears to be using the slow tubes right now; I'm just now getting email I should have received three hours ago.

Second: You can put down the "SIGN MIKE LOWELL" signs now, Sox fans, cause they've gone and made an offer and he's agreed. "In principle", at least.

I know at least one person who'll be thrilled to the gills to hear this news.

Rock and roll! Not only do we get Mikey back, we didn't have to overpay him egregiously. That's two very good free-agent deals this offseason for the Sox.
