In "holy freakin crap!" news, Activision just rolled up Blizzard. Or Vivendi rolled up Activision which then is going to roll up Blizzard. I don't know how all this works anyway. They just gave me this computer.

The press conference announcing the merger consisted solely of an Activision spokesman raising his upper lip in a childish sneer and crowing "Suck it, EA!"

Really this is Vivendi buying a controlling share in Activision and then saying they're mashing the two studios together even though a Blizzard rep claims all that nothing is really changing.

Verant said the same thing when SOE bought 'em.

I think they believe it for the first few financial quarters.
