him name is Abbie tux cat

My housemate [livejournal.com profile] ratatosk, who is graciously spearheading Operation Cat's Cradle, has posted a big genius call to arms on his LJ for those interested in or curious about helping the efforts. There's a ton of cat psychology in there as well. I'd take a moment to explain some of it to you but the words are beginning to blur together so I'm going back to bed.

p.s. i'll find my cat
who took my cat

love,
spatch

You know, the "house trap" plan is a really good idea. I recaptured an indoor cat in that manner; it was while I was house-sitting and this cat just FLEW out the door as I was opening it, so I opened all the doors and sat around in the living room until he strolled back in a few hours later.

Come home, Abbie. :(

I saw a poster two days ago when walking in town. I am so sorry and maybe he's just staying warm with some folks nearby, you know, a weekend in the country...

I'm so sorry to hear he's gone walkabout at this time of year.

If you need someone to make daily calls to the shelters let me know. I'm my Eschwa/Atrium/Heinous handle with a "7" at the end on Yahoo, AIM and MSM. I'll also ask Karen for advice (she worked in a vets' office for years) when she's up. Good luck man, I know this sucks.

I dreamt that I found your cat last night. He was a sweetie.

Good luck.

I was hoping when I visited today that your giant tuxedo cat would be found. Best of luck. It seems that Abbie has a lot of friends on her side.

We said a prayer for you and Abbie's safe return at First Church today, so there's another gaggle of folks pulling for you both. I will continue praying on my own that he toddles back in and you feel better all around.

One of the ladies at church told me the story of Oliver, her gentleman cat, who disappeared for three weeks up near Russell Ave. in Teele Square. It turned out he was in a neighbor's basement, and finally made enough of a ruckus to get let out and return home long after they'd given up. I hope you don't have to wait that long, but I hope the outcome is as positive!
