Audience count tonight: 397. They listened and laughed when things were funny and hung on to the scary parts and very few people left during or in between acts. The Orpheum crew was great, the theater became beautiful, and even complete strangers laughed and applauded.

As [livejournal.com profile] smacaski said, we won First Night. We totally won First Night.

More to come tomorrow when I'm A. awake, B. sober and C. able to get out of bed.

And I will not entertain thoughts on Arisia until about, oh, 7:30 pm.

That was fun. I liked the part about Leon being Albert's clone....

Oh wow, I totally didn't catch the significance of that!

...so, wait, does that mean that in the Red Shift universe, the earth has been destroyed by a giant heart, leaving Al Alberts and Penny Parker as the last humans alive? =:)

You may find it amusing that gmail's adwords find this page of relevance to your show. =:)

Sorry I wasn't there in person, but I presume you can tell me all about it in the morning.

Again, bravo! Seeing that many people there for an audio theater production, and overhearing as many "that was really cool!" comments as I did warmed my heart.

We totally won First Night.

And, as [livejournal.com profile] vanguardcdk pointed out, a blowtorch. :)

I couldn't find you after the show to say hi, but well done! I love how Red Shift parodies cheesy sci-fi and the 30's radio show style but still takes itself just seriously enough to keep the listener invested in the storyline.

I think it was the best performance of your entire life, in more than one way. I mean, the whole group was terrifically good, in the aggregate, but there were a few individual actors who struck me afresh with just how good they really are. And I thought you in particular gave a virtuoso performance.

... Never mind the writing and directing and the mere fact of getting the thing into production and all that. :-)

Congratulations. I didn't see it, but I'm sure it was wonderful. Mr. The Cat must be very proud. Or at least hungry.

I almost didn't come up to Boston (imminent cold), but I'm glad I did in the end!
