I put this album up on Facebook, but then noticed that they resize the images and there's no way to view the fullsize ones and that's just a shame cause they're all really lovely when seen in their original size.

With that in mind, I present to you a gallery of paintings made by one Hoenikker J. Troll, hunter at large and painter at other times. He dragged an easel and paints all around this world. Of warcraft.

Badlands, Eastern Kingdoms. Gouache on the back of a love note to Jaina Proudmoore.

Inside Blackrock Mountain, Eastern Kingdoms. Oil sketch on the inside cover of a book labelled "GLOBAL COOLDOWNS AND YOU."

Inside Blackrock Mountain, Eastern Kingdoms. Oil on a scroll that made the most peculiar sounds when unrolled. And somewhere, miles away, a gnome died.

Arch to Maestra's Post, Ashenvale, Kalimdor. Watercolor on foolscap. Literally. We swindled the cap off the fool originally wearing it.

Bloodhoof Bridge, Mulgore, Kalimdor. Oil on the back of a turtle shell. The turtle was nowhere to be seen.

Trail brazier, Mulgore, Kalimdor. Watercolor on shopping list.

Haystacks in Westfall, Eastern Kingdoms. Oil on whatever the heck that thing was.

Crossroads in Westfall, Eastern Kingdoms. Oil on canvas tent.

Is it really a crossroads if there are only three roads involved? Should it not be a fork? ;)

That said, it is my favorite, though I do love the Bloodhoof Bridge, too.

Troll's watercolor technique is clearly reached its pinnacle, as evidenced by his ability to use found objects as substrate for his deft representations of the beauty and color of the landscape.
