I am not excited nor am I agitated, psyched or pissed off about tonight's Random-Ass Surprise U2 Concert at the Somerville Theater.

I am still trying to figure out whether or not this means I need to ask the doc to up the dosage.

Neither am I impressed one way or the othere. However, I'm not a U2 fan nor a Davis resident.

Nor am I, though I was amused by the helicopters flying over my house last night.

I'm also failing to work up the requisite emotion about Watchmen (I'll see it if it's convenient), Racefail '09 (I've managed to keep this to myself for fear of being flamed to death), and the impending lawsuit between Somerville & Logan about the number of planes flying over the city.

Airplanes? What's up with that? I hear them sometimes, but not so much it bothers me. How very, very lame....

http://davis_square.livejournal.com/tag/noise . Apparently it varies considerably over a small radius, so it's superloud for some folks but inaudible for me a few blocks over.

I haven't seen Watchmen yet and would enjoy seeing it with you.

Ed and I have made plans to see it twice; once I was late at work & decided it wasn't worth making myself crazy rushed to get to it, and the other time we just found better things to do.

I'll let you know if we actually get it together to go, though I'm pretty sure I'm booked up for the rest of this week.

Is that tonight? I hadn't been keeping track. I wonder how much of a PITA it will be to get home tonight.

Perhaps I should take the Orange line to Sullivan and take the bus instead....

Red Line shouldn't be affected by this at all.

Yeah. The red line has sucked harder than usual lately. Must ponder alternatives.

Seriously. Yesterday it took me twice as long to get downtown than it should have.

I'm not interested in U2, but it has been fascinating to watch the phenom spread across the interwebz and the world- viral marketing and hype and trying to keep a secret and failing, I love a breaking story, and seeing who knows what when and where it goes. I've been watching since the BBC article last week when they played on the roof of the BBC headquarters in central London, through an entire week on Letterman, and then on to scenic Somerville! Whee!

Yeah, there's so much indifference in this place I can practically feel the ennui. I could get excited by U2...or I could clean my room. Hmm, cleaning my room actually sounds kind of appealing.

I'm likewise indifferent. I think it's a healthy sign of having more important things to think about.
