Maybe we should suggest that LJ add a CURRENT TERRAH LEVEL!!!11 field along with the Current Mood and Music fields. CAUSE WE GOTTA KNOW EVERY SECOND OF EVERY HOUR

You know, I'm glad the NYC channels don't do that. Then again, NYC has been at TERRAH LEVEL ORUNJE since September 2001. That would get really borrrrring after a few months. ;)

Maybe this whole idea can be brought to other venues too. SWG needs a 'current imperial presence' level. My car needs a 'current count of idiots on the road' indicator. And, of course, my brane needs a 'current number of comedians making jokes about a blinking 12:00 on their VCRs' level. Oops, that last just went up by one.
