I just blew someone's mind by telling them that coral is a living creature. While it's underwater, at least. And that some coral reefs are nothin but a big ol' pile of dead coral skeletons. After this lovely lesson, someone probably won't be scuba diving around the Great Barrier Reef at any time soon.

Some days it's the little pieces of knowledge you drop that mean so much.

Heh! Did you tell him that little coral spores float around looking for a place to attach themselves and grow?

Since he didn't know the basics, were you tempted to suggest that they might really love to roost on his naughty bits and turn them into a coral reef? (Mixtures of truth and fact are the best when messing with people.)
