Like many basements in the Davis area, ours has decided to flood, and it's done so in spectacular fashion. About four, maybe four and a half inches of standing water completely throughout. The mice had improvised crude rafts and were floating around the debris. It's a miracle the furnace hasn't been taken out yet.

We're waiting to hear back from the landlord's cadre of plumbers. The rain keeps coming down. This does not look good.

I have not been down to the basement today. I suppose I'll go when I get home from work. It's traditionally been quite dry, but now I'm nervous...

yeah, here too. :/ Most of my stuff is usually in plastic bins, but I'm not sure I put all my camping gear away after last time...

I've never seen this much water in my basement. I left work early today to bail. And you can't have my waders, I'm using them every half hour...

Yuck. Sorry to hear it. But not surprised. My impression from reading the internet and listening to the news is that "anywhere that ever floods is flooding now!"

Joy.

Sounds like you could benefit from a sump pump.

The basements in my condo complex are flooding too. People have their pumps going with hoses out into the street.

Of course, the road is so bad from the plowing this weekend that the sewer drains are too high for the water.

If this were snow, we'd all be snowed in, but at least we wouldn't be drowning.

Oh, geez. Looks like I chose a good weekend to go to New Jersey. Thankfully, I never stored anything down there. I hope things get better.

We had a very scenic waterfall coming down our bulkhead stairs on Saturday. Yee haw.

We have a sump pump, which is going full throttle, and we still have about an inch or two of standing water almost throughout. I'm not sure what can humanly be done at this point.
