So who built all those ramps around Hazzard County anyway? Am I to reasonably expect that the Department of Transportation fast-tracked a road improvement project that included wooden ramps built at convenient spots over each creek and gulley? Wouldn't Boss Hogg realize this only hinders his plans and order their demolition?

And what's the deal with airplane food?

I always thought the Duke's installed all those. I figured it was the side business to actually make money since nothing else they did seemed to earn them bubkiss.

It's Boss Hog using the Japanese model of pointless, continual construction projects all over Hazzard County to keep employment levels inflated and the local Yakuza-controlled construction firms satisfied. Because there's tons of Yakuza in the backwoods of whatever bumfuck idiot state that the Dukes Of Hazzard is set in; everybody knows that.

The ramps were there because the Boss Hogg had all the roads laid serpentine over the traditional paths. It's like Bo said: "Boy, Uncle Jesse, that Boss Hogg sure is one fat miserable bastard."
