OH WE ARE OVER HALFWAY BOOKED
Jan. 16th, 2006 12:45 pmTwo new films were announced for SF/31 this weekend:
12 MONKEYS (1995) - Never before seen at the Marathon, though we've had LA JETEE, the French short that inspired Gilliam's feature-length story. (Also, teasingly mentioned, is "Hopefully there will be more news on LA JETEE to come." We may get to see both, perhaps back-to-back. Now that'd be interesting!)
ANDROID (1982) - Aaron Lipstadt's mid-budget indie from 1982. Features Klaus Kinski and music by Don Preston, one of the original Mothers of Invention. Oh yeah.
So that gives us the line-up to this point:
ANDROID
FIRE MAIDENS FROM OUTER SPACE
KONGA
THE TINGLER
THE ADVENTURES OF BUCKAROO BANZAI ACROSS THE 8TH DIMENSION
SERENITY
THE LAST MAN ON EARTH
TWELVE MONKEYS
Honestly, with a few 1970s films, this could very well be one of the best lineups we've had in a long time.

Date: 2006-01-16 10:03 pm (UTC)1. is this a good place for a filmmaker working on a project that would be of interest to some filmgoes to network/press the flesh? obviously it's not going to be as good a place as arisia, but.
2. how are you getting out there? can you fit another person in your transport?
GO TEAM BANZAI!
