I really, really wanted to give it to Burl Ives, but I had to go with Karloff. It's not really fair -- if even one of the songs in "Rudolph" was even half as good as "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch", Ives could've had it walking away. So I admit to being influenced by factors that do not pertain to the narrator strictly as narrator, but what can you do?

I've gotta agree with your assessment here. I spent at least a minute agonizing over both choices, but in the end, it had to be Karloff.
