Also, this morning, I found a grey hair trying to hide insouciantly in a whorl of bangs. Had to yank it out to make sure it just wasn't a trick of the lighting. It wasn't a trick of the lighting.

At 36, I've got a few grey hairs mixed in my mass of curly locks. The cool thing is that, as men, it doesn't really matter.

Except for the makers of "Just For Men" hair coloring products, who do their best to try and convince us that yes, it does matter because shallow women won't go to bed with you if you have a salt and pepper beard.

I don't listen to them. Mostly cause I don't have a beard, but also because I think it will be a treat to fully go grey. Dad did a very good job of it, and considering I get almost everything else from him (bad teeth, a well-placed "DAMMIT!" to shake the timbers) I suppose I'll go the same way and it'll be a-ok with me.

Welcome, welcome to our brotherhood dear friend. I entered the fold at 25, and at 36 I've learned a few things:

- The white ones feel different. They're thicker, or less flexible, perhaps.
- As a result, should you pull a white one out (especially in a beard) it's more painful.
- All things considered, I'd rather they turn white than turn loose.

Yeah, man, for real-- this is a step up. I've been patiently waiting to go grey since I was fourteen. It can't happen soon enough. Every time I find a white hair I do a secret dance and I forbid my special lady from pulling it out.

Ahahaha, how cute. I totally went gray before my own Huncle.

That is to say, I have had gray hairs since I was, I believe, 15. And I didn't find one gray then; oh no, I found a robust cluster of 5-10. It was quite a site to behold.

My poor boyfriend (23) is going gray; not poor because it's bad (I actually like how it looks) but because I really, REALLY enjoy pulling out his gray hairs. Like, I can be mesmerized by doing this for an hour. Seriously. He doesn't usually withstand the discomfort for as long, however. :)

A cluster of 5-10 is, like, a swath. And it's fun to say swath. A white swath of hair.

Martha had a little cluster of white hairs on her chest. You wouldn't notice until you saw it up close, she was such a tiny black cat, but she had just a sprinkle.

My first gray hair was discovered not by me, but by Ms. Amy Crystal Gould whom I was dating at the time. I was 23, I think. Went like this:

Her: *gasp* "You've got a gray hair!!"
Me: "No way. Where?"
Her: *YOINK* "See?"
Me: "Oww!"
Her: "Sorry?"
Me: *TACKLE*

So you see, gray hairs can be used for nefarious purposes.

As far as I know, I have no grey hairs but I actually don't look, so who knows!

I've always wanted a long silvery braid, though. Looking forward to it! Everyone in my family took forever to go grey/white.
