I feel your pain. I didn't get to sleep "last night" until almost 9 a.m., but I forced myself to be awake by 12:30 hoping the 3 hours of sleep will help me get to bed tonight. With a recital coming up on Saturday, this is not the best time to be sleep-deprived.
I was up all night from Sunday to Monday. If I got any kind of rest, it was in 5-10 minute bursts. I thought well okay, I'll go to work, be lucid, then come home and crash for 12+ hours.
I got home at 5 PM, went to bed, and didn't actually get to sleep til way past midnight. My body just refused to let go, even though I'd been up for 25-30 hours and I was in that lucid-ass state.
