SPATCH'S LAW OF FOOTBALL BUFFOONERY

Given several thousand people in any given football stadium, there will always be at least one jackass who brings in a giant D, accompanied by his buddy who brings in a giant artistic interpretation of a fence. There may even be more of these in attendance, but the cameras will only favor one couple: usually the couple whose fence looks more like a tic-tac-toe grid than a fence.

I miss the John 3:16 guy, dammit.

No sign of a wig, but that might've been because of the weather--is his usual spot the endzone?

The philosophy of the John 3:16 guy is to show up anywhere he can get on-camera. I'm pretty sure the original guy is no longer doing this (I know he had a history of mental problems and he may have passed away; I seem to recall reading some kind of bad news about him a while ago) but there seem to be people wishing to carry on the tradition, and bully to them, I say.
